The Story of When Raistlin Became a God

Raistlin Went back in time and studied with the Great mage Fistandantilus and eventually fought Fistadnantilus and gained his power. Rasitlin then traveled forward in time and went through a portal into the Abyss (The God of darkness's home plane) and challenged her. He drew her out of her plane into the prime material plane where she was weaker (it was not her native environment). Raistlin beat her and stole her power. He then challenged and destroyed all of the other gods and took their power as well.
There is far more to this story, but this is all of it that I will tell here.

This Story is contained in full in the DragonLance Legends (composed of the books Time of the Twins, War of the Twins, and Test of the Twins). These books are truly excellent and I hardily recommend them to any literate person (and even the illiterate ones). I can't say enough good things about them. Read them!
